I've been dying to try out Bed Head products for ages, but I can never find it anywhere! The only place I can ever find them is Home Bargains and I wouldn't know if I'd trust it to be exactly the same. It's half the price, so you never know it might be a rip off! I noticed my hair looked pretty fab when my hairdresser used a Bed Head hairspray on my hair last time she came, so I thought I'd give in and finally try and find the shampoo and conditioner to test them out.
I found them on the Feel Unique website and I didn't realise there were so many to choose from! I picked out the Urban Antidotes Recovery duo as I read the reviews on them and they were all 5 stars! My hair is in an okay condition, so I didn't want to get the Resurrection one, I got rid of all the nasty dried out hair when I chopped it all off last year. But it still doesn't feel as fabulous and soft as I would like it to be. I straighten or curl it almost everyday and I needed some sort of life back in my hair.
I've only washed my hair three times since I bought it but so far it's getting all the praise in the world. After the second wash I noticed the ends of my hair had started feeling a little bit softer, and it got softer on the third wash too. I honestly can't stop touching it! The only downside to this product is the smell of the shampoo is a bit iffy, I don't know whether my sense of smell is deceiving me because of the cold I have though.. I found when I first opened it up it smelled like fairy liquid! My mum didn't seem to think it smelled like that though so I can't be sure, the conditioner smells completely different and after my hair is dry it surprisingly smells quite nice.
The bottles are huge and I got them both for a bargain of £15, apparently the RRP would be around £40 so I saved myself a whopping £25 on this. £7.50 each for two 750ml bottles is a good price. I usually buy Aussie products and I pay around £4 for a 250ml product. I feel like this should last me months (maybe a little less because I've told my mum she can use it too, her hair is in dire need of recovery!)
I kind of want to try the other ranges of Bed Head too, I need to have a look at the reviews, I'm always more inclined to go with the ones that have been praised rather than the ones that have yet to be reviewed. But I think if this is anything to go by then I will absolutely love them! I might try out the colour one or the volume one out next time because lord knows I need to keep my colour and my hair is almost always as flat as a pancake when I don't blow dry my hair.
I'm love testing out new products and I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the results. My hair still isn't perfectly soft like I wish it would be, but honestly I don't think I'll ever get there. I think it maybe has something to do with the texture of my hair rather than the products I use, because I have been trying for years and years to no avail. Bed Head has definitely climbed the way up my list for my favourite hair products though.
