That's until a few years ago when they started becoming popular again and all of my favourite artists and bands started producing their own vinyl's! So then started my collection. I don't really have as many as I would like to but I'm looking to start collecting more, especially the older ones. I'm going to need to go to a record store and just stock up on everything I love listening to.
All Time Low - Future Hearts
I think this is one of the most popular vinyl in my collection, All Time Low are one of my favourite bands so I love listening to them and I'd love to get more ATL albums on vinyl! This was one that I pre-ordered what felt like months in advance. When I saw the postman coming with a vinyl shaped package I was over the moon!
Arctic Monkeys - AM
This was a spur of the moment buy, I was going through an Arctic Monkeys phase when I bought it. I do love the album though so I suppose I didn't buy it for nothing. I should really listen to this one more, I think I've only ever played it once!
Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal
Bring Me The Horizon are another one of my favourites, and they're the only band that I have their entire discography. Only two of them are records though unfortunately. I think I actually bought this before I even had a record player of my own, of course my parents have one downstairs but I didn't think they would appreciate me playing this all the time!
Bring Me The Horizon - That's The Spirit
I love this album. There's not many albums that I can say I love every song on. This is one of those albums that I can quite happily leave on without wishing I could skip it! I've honestly lost count how many times I've listened to this record. It's definitely one of my favourites.
Biffy Clyro - Opposites
A few years after watching one of their festival sets I started listening to a lot of Biffy Clyro, so the day after I ordered this online. I like the fact that it's in two separate parts because it makes my collection look bigger! I really need to get their new album Ellipsis on vinyl because I've been listening to that a lot lately.
Ed Sheeran - X
Ed's been my favourite solo artist since I first heard A-Team when I was a little teenager. He was the only artist that could get me out of my "I'm an emo, I only listen to metal and rock" phase and actually listen to pop. I love this album so so much. I want to get + on vinyl too even though I already have it on CD.
A Day To Remember - Common Courtesy
This is the only physical album I have of A Day To Remember's and I actually used to class them as a favourite band when I was younger. I'm an awful fan. I think Common Courtesy is a really good album though and I love most of the songs on there!
Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones
This is one of my most recent purchases, and I bought this as a congratulatory gift to myself after I passed my car theory test. I adore Frank Turner and I'm looking to buy all of his albums on vinyl, I've already got three so I might as well buy the whole lot! (This is only including the studio albums! He's got way too many EP's and Compilation albums to even count)
Frank Turner - Tape Deck Heart
This was the first Frank Turner album I bought and I even bought a T-Shirt to match. This was another one I bought after watching a festival performance. I had been a fan of Frank Turner for about a year prior but I had only heard a few songs. After I watched a Reading Festival performance I became a huge fan.
Frank Turner - Negative Songs For Positive People
This is the newest release of Frank Turner, I don't really enjoy this as much as I enjoy the other albums but I do enjoy it nonetheless. I love the print on the vinyl itself. I did think I would be getting a cover to match it but I'm still happy with the clear sleeve so I can see the art on the vinyl.
Mallory Knox - Asymmetry
Mallory Knox are so good, over the past couple of years I've really gotten into the British bands that are more 'rock-ish' if that makes any sense whatsoever! But no emoness, no metal, just British rock, like Mallory Knox, Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis and Deaf Havana. So I'm going to start collecting my favourite albums of those to add to my vinyl collection too!
Of Mice & Men - Restoring Force
Of Mice & Men used to be my most favourite band when I was in my last few years of school and college and they still hold a special place in my heart! They helped me through a lot of stuff that I was going through and I'm so thankful for them. Although their second album The Flood is my favourite album of theirs, Restoring Force comes a close second.
Pierce The Veil - Collide With The Sky
Now this is the very first vinyl I ever bought myself. I bought this just because of the colour of the actual vinyl itself (
see instagram pic of it here). I loved the colour so much I bought it there and then, as this was my first one I think I listened to it once on my family's record player before it became an ornament on my shelf until I got one of my own.
Troye Sivan - Blue Neighbourhood
I love Troye, I may not be 'obsessed' like I was last year (I hate that word but there's no other way to describe it!) But I still love him, and I still enjoy his music. I've followed him for a few years now and I watched as he achieved his dreams of becoming a musician. I feel like I've grown up with him, it's so cute.
You Me At Six - Cavalier Youth
You Me At Six have been a band I've admired for years and this was another album that I waited patiently for the postman to bring as I had pre-ordered it months before! I love everything about You Me At Six, especially this album. I've seen most of these songs performed live too and it was fab, they sounded exactly the same.
I feel like I've said I love everything in this collection but I just feel so strongly about my records!! I hope to build this up a whole lot more. And then I'll be that weird person with a house full of them.
