London Baby!

I'M BACK! I'm back home and all I want to do is be in London again, I was exactly the same when I went last year. It still feels really weird coming back to my small town after being away in a huge city. Everything seemed so small the minute I got back, I kept wondering where the rest of the buildings were! It was a fantastic week away though, we managed to see a whole lot more than we did last year.

Day one was a bit hectic, on the train down our four reserved seats were taken up by a two elderly people who were refusing to move. We found another table to sit at but unfortunately they were reserved for people at the next stop. Luckily there were only two of them and they offered to sit in our old seats with the two old women so we didn't have to split up from each other. (This has still annoyed me a week and a half later. Seats are reserved for a reason!)

We spent the rest of the day shopping on Oxford Street, spending time in Piccadilly and then we took the boys to see Buckingham Palace. We spent ages there just taking polaroid pictures, polaroids became a frequent thing during our trip, we had tons of them.

The next day we went to Madame Tussaud's, we were quite surprised that we didn't have to wait hours and hours like we did last year. It made it more fun though, last year I felt like I wanted to get out of there as quick as I could because of the fact we spent half of the day just waiting in a queue. This time I enjoyed it more and we took our time, I even met BB-8 too! Such a cute little droid.

Then we went to Sealife. This is the thing I was most looking forward to as I didn't get to do this last year. I really enjoyed this, we got to see so many cute fish but I did expect it to last a lot longer than it did, we were there for less than an hour.

Thursday we spent the day doing even more touristy things, we went to the London Dungeon's and then we went on The London Eye, which is still by far one of my favourite things to do in London. I just love seeing the city of London from high above. It was cloudy, AGAIN. One of these days I'm going to go in one of the pods and I'll get to see the city in the sun!

Friday was the day that my friend had to go home, he thought we were only staying until the Friday so he had to go home two days early, bless him. We went to Kings Cross to see Platform 9¾, I think I was the most excited to see it out of all of us. I could have spent so much more money in there than what I already did. After my friend left the rest of us went to see Tower Bridge, we managed to stumble across a mass karaoke there too, there were hundreds of people all singing along to the same song, it was actually a really cool thing to witness.

The last couple of days we didn't really do much, we went to the Natural History Museum and then ended up back on Oxford Street to do even more shopping. I really really enjoyed this holiday. It felt nice to get away from my hometown, I forgot about everything for a week and I had the time of my life. I can't wait to go back again, it definitely is one of my favourite places in the world.
