Right, help me out here guys. I'm having a huge dilemma whether I should finally go to University or not.
I finished College 2 years ago in 2014 and while all of my friends were picking out universities and stressing out about UCAS points, I was saying I would never ever entertain the idea of going of to university because there was no point in getting into debt if there wasn't a guarantee you'd get a job at the end of it.
I have a love/hate relationship with the idea now a little bit older and not a teenager anymore. I've matured a bit and I now see University as an option. I see people on my Facebook and Twitter who are doing incredible things thanks to their degrees and it makes me sort of jealous, it makes me want to go out and do exactly the same thing.
I think if it were free then I would definitely give university a shot, if I didn't like it then fine, I could drop out and I wouldn't have wasted thousands of pounds. I think the only part that has put me off for all this time is the £27k that it would cost to study. That's a lot of money.
I go through phases of wanting to go, especially within the last few months. I will look up all these different courses and do my research into everything and then a day later I'll be back to hating the concept of going to university. I've heard so many horror stories of it too, like people have gone and it's turned out to be the worst mistake of their lives. But I've also heard amazing stories, of how people have travelled abroad as part of their course and they've learnt so many amazing things.
