I've been contemplating getting a Birchbox subscription for quite a while now, so this month I finally bit the bullet and bought my very first box! It arrived the other day so here is a little post on what I think about it.
It arrived about a week after I first ordered, and the first thing I noticed was the packaging. It arrived in a small pink box with the products in a little cotton bag inside. It's so pretty and I applaud Birchbox for their cute packaging!
The things I got with this months Birchbox were:
This full sized Spectrum brush, it's so soft and I keep brushing it against my hand because it's that soft. I'm going to add this to my ever growing collection of brushes and I'm already looking at the other brushes that Spectrum have. This is one of my favourite things in the box.
I got a perfume sample as well, it smells lovely and I could still smell it after hours of spraying it onto my skin. I don't think I would buy the full sized version of this, only because I'm much more into my sweet or flowery scents as an everyday perfume. It does smell fantastic though, so maybe I'll use it when I'm going out for the night!
I got this hair protector spray, I haven't used this yet but I'm going to try it out really soon. My hair is in an awful condition so if this works then it will be a lifesaver. The only problem is though that it smells weird, I usually go for haircare that has a nice smell so I wouldn't even think about getting this product. Maybe it will surprise me and be the best thing I've ever used, I'm looking forward to seeing how this product turns out.
I got yet another weird smelling product! This is a natural balm and I rubbed a bit onto my skin and it felt really greasy, I hate feeling greasy so I think I'm probably going to give this to my mum instead. It's a good idea though!
I got this eyeshadow stick by LOC (aka Love of Colour) too. I got the gold version, I haven't had an eyeshadow stick for years and I used to love my old one, I'm eager to try this one out!
I got this shower gel too, I'm never one to stray from my Lush shower gels. I don't use anything else except for them in the shower, but I will put down my Lush products for a while as hard as it might be, to try this one out because it does smell really nice and fresh.
I would have liked to have more make up in this box as I already have tons of skincare, but I still enjoyed my first ever Birchbox.
I've got my March box coming soon and I'm already looking forward to it! I'm excited to see what will be in the next box! I will unfortunately be cancelling this subscription soon because I'm cutting down on my spending to save up for my holiday to London this summer, but after I come back, I'll definitely be subscribing again! I really enjoy getting little samples through the post.
