Jeremy Loops Live

Last night I went to quite possibly the best gig I've ever been to. There's just something about gigs in small venues that I love. Everything just seems so much more energetic and crazy rather than going to an arena.

I started off the night by meeting some very drunk people in the crowd who decided it would be fun to play the 'Head's Up' game while they were waiting for the support act. I got invited to join and I was then known as 'Blue Hair' for the rest of the night. The guy that was doing it all actually had a brilliant plan to involve everybody in the crowd, that way he could slowly make it to the front of the stage.. He got close and Blue Hair managed to get there too!

Then the support act Hannah Trigwell came on and I actually really enjoyed her set. She was only on for about half an hour but her voice sounded really nice. I think I'll be checking out more of her music soon! Her original music is really good and her cover of Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' had the whole room singing.

Then after another half hour, the moment we had all been waiting for had arrived. After being a fan of Jeremy's for over a year, to say I was excited is an understatement. Even on the first song, Jeremy and his band got the whole crowd pumped, and it stayed that way for the entire gig, even on the slower songs there was still that excitement filling the room.

I got a shout out from the rapper Motheo Moleko too, which was insane! It was also another comment on my hair!

It was a crazy night and I absolutely LOVED it. There was so much energy and Jeremy and Motheo knew exactly what to do or say to get the crowd going. I can honestly say this was THE best gig I've ever been to, I know I say that after every gig I go to but this just blew everything else out of the water. I won't be forgetting this night.

After the show had ended, Jeremy came over to the merch stand to hang out with a few people, sign stuff and take pictures. I only met him for about 5 minutes but he was such a genuine, down to earth guy. He signed my ticket and I managed to get a couple of quick pictures with him too.. (This is also another thing I love about small venues, you can actually talk to the musician rather than being shunted away by security).

Then it was time to go home unfortunately! I can't wait until he comes back to the UK though, because I will definitely be getting another ticket to see him again.

Here is a video I took for the song Mission To The Sun:
