My favourite part about Christmas is decorating the tree, up until 3 or 4 years ago I'd always had an artificial one (which was older than me by the way). My mum was against the idea of having a real Christmas tree for so long, but then our artificial one broke so my dad took us out to buy a real one instead, he'd been begging for a real tree for years bless him.
So the other day we got into my dad's van to go to the Backford Christmas Tree Farm, we've gone there every year and they've always been lovely trees, they last ages too! After a while of looking for the perfect one we finally found it and we headed back home.
The tree was waiting in my living room in it's stand, all ready to be decorated when I got home from work. Then it was time to get the decorations on it! Lights, tinsel and baubles, I personally think we should have added more lights, but I am a little bit obsessed with fairy lights, my room is full of them, oops!

I wasn't expecting it to be so big! It didn't look that big on the farm.. We had to trim the top off so we could fit it in the bay with our angel on the top. There's still a bit more decorating to do, my mum has tons of tinsel that we usually hang up on the walls so they will be going up very soon!
My house is looking a lot more festive now and I love it, we've usually got everything done by the 1st December but we're a bit late this year. So happy I've got my tree now though! It's the best part of Christmas.
I also have a tiny one in my room too, I got this years ago when the black trees were in fashion, it matches my room's colour scheme though!
I really am feeling a lot more festive now the tree is up (is that even possible?) but I do honestly look forward to this every year.. Which is probably just a tiny bit sad, but oh well.
