Blogmas Day 21 - The Birthday Tag

Sorry this is so late again. I really should schedule my time better so I have enough time to write a post during the day. Today I thought I would do the birthday tag as it's only a couple of days away. Although technically it's really only less than 24 hours away!

1. When is your birthday?
The 23rd of December! Which sort of sucks being so close to Christmas. it was great when I was younger because everybody bought me separate presents. These days though most people cram two gifts into one and say it's a joint birthday and Christmas present.

2. How old are you turning? (Or if your birthday recently passed, how old did you turn?)
20! I won't be a teenager anymore! Although I've been an adult for almost 2 years now, there's sort of something scary about actually being an adult and not a teenager! It's a little exciting though.

3. What was your favourite present that you've ever received?
Ooooh, that's a toughie. Maybe my pandora bracelet, or the necklace my parents got me when I turned 18. I don't really have that big of presents as it's so close to Christmas, so my favourites would probably be Christmas presents instead!

4. Are you/did you have a party this year? If so, what are you doing?
Not so much of a party, but I am going out with a few friends tomorrow night to bring my birthday in. Then I will be going out with family for a meal on the night of my birthday (that's if I survive the hangover!)

5. How do you usually celebrate your birthday?
As I said in the previous question, I usually have a night out with my friends the night before and then a meal with the family. It's been like that for a few years now.. Before that it used to be cinema visits or ice skating!

6. What was the most memorable birthday that you had?
I remember my parents booking me Silly Barts one year, which is sort of like the Wacky Warehouse. I invited all of my friends and I think it was the last big birthday I had. The other one that really stands out is my 16th when I spent the day with all of my friends. There used to be a youth club we all went to when it started getting too cold to be outside on the 'bandstand' (which was really just a gathering place for the emo kids). We went to the funfair after that too. I was surrounded by the people I loved and that was a really great day.

7. If you had an unlimited amount of money what would you do for your birthday?
I would just LOVE to spend my birthday in New York, I'd take my family and friends and we would all do touristy things and then maybe I'd take my mum to go watch a show on Broadway.

8. What's your birthday wish list?
I honestly don't even think about birthday presents that much anymore, I'm much more focused on my Christmas wish list. But maybe a pandora charm to go on my bracelet.

9. If you only had one birthday left, what would you do for your birthday?
Spend it in New York. If I knew it would be my last then I would make sure it's the best one I've ever had. Which includes saving up all of my money to book a flight and spend it in the best way possible.

10. Show a picture from your birthday, preferably an embarrassing one.
All of my photos are stored away in my parents room, I can't even get to them they're that hidden away. So I had a look on my Facebook and the only one I can find is this one. It's not really embarrassing and it's from that birthday I spent with my friends.

Look at those nails and bracelets, I thought I was so coooool. I got Ed Sheeran's album if anybody was wondering.

11. Do you have any birthday traditions?
Not really.

12. What's your favourite part about your birthday?
Every year without doubt my Nanna phones me up in the morning and then starts to sing happy birthday to me. It's weirdly one of my favourite things about my birthday actually.

13. What's one thing that changed a lot since your last birthday?
Not much really, the only thing that's really changed is my confidence. Last year I was a lot more self conscious and stuff like that, but I like to think I've changed for the better. The only other thing is that I've reconnected with some old friends, so this year I'll be spending it with them too.

14. Have you ever been thrown a surprise party or have you ever thrown one for someone?
No I haven't and no I have not. I love the idea of it though!

That's it for the birthday tag, I really hope you don't mind me doing all of these tags on this blog but I really enjoy doing them. It sounds weird but I really like answering questions. (I hate answering questions in real life though which is weird).
