Adam Elmakias is a music photographer from San Diego, he's one of my favourite photographers because his images are absolutely incredible! I found out about Adam a few years back from a photograph floating around of one of my favourite bands, I think it was either All Time Low or Of Mice & Men.
I then found his entire portfolio and as somebody who was studying photography in college at the time I sort of fell in love and he was a big inspiration to me. I even included him as research for my own photography.
I've followed him ever since, and I even have his prints hung up proudly on my wall. So when I read that he was bringing out a magazine I knew I needed to have it. I instantly pre-ordered it and waited for it to ship across half the world. It arrived yesterday and I haven't had chance to properly read it yet, I've just had a brief flick through but I know that I'm going to LOVE it.
I paid a little bit extra to have a signed copy, it was $5 more which I think is about £3, so it really wasn't a big difference in price.
In the package Adam had sent a few little freebies, I got 4 wristbands including 3 lens bracelets, a 'live in the now' bracelet and a little toy alien! The alien being included because Adam refers to himself as an alien because of his bald head.
I can't wait to read this! And although I haven't read it yet I know it's going to take pride and place on my bookshelf.
