I've spent the day in Chester today, and as weird as it sounds Chester never fails to get me into the Christmas spirit. I've felt Christmassy for at least a month now anyway, but spending the day in Chester is the cherry on the cake.
I went with my mum and it was super nice to spend the day with her without anybody else there. I did do a little bit of shopping for myself, how can I not? But I have FINALLY finished my Christmas shopping! Let's just hope that the stuff I've ordered online comes before Christmas, otherwise I'll be stress shopping on Christmas Eve!
We visited the Chester Christmas Market too because I haven't been there in a couple of years, we usually miss it by a day or two. I love it when everything's lit up with Christmas lights, and there's a smell of fresh cooked food floating through the air. It's perfect.
We then walked around Chester for a bit, popping in and out of shops and we even walked along the Chester Wall for a little bit. It's just been a really relaxing day. Even though it was pretty packed, everything was fast moving like all cities are.
