Yesterday I spent my day in Hafan Y Môr in Pwllheli, we went to visit my brother, sister in law and two nephews because they're on holiday for the week there (we're one of those families who tend to visit each other when we're on holiday).
Hafan Y Môr is a holiday camp run by Haven so everything is basically in one place. I've never been to anything like that before, we usually stayed in a caravan park in Barmouth. So seeing something that huge sort of made me want to go back in time and visit one of those as a little kid.
It took just under two hours to get there so obviously I had to take some entertainment, my parents listen to awful music sometimes and I couldn't hack two minutes of it, never mind two hours.
Apart from not being able to visit any beaches it was a really great day..
I spent way too much money on the 2p slot machines in the amusements and I won nothing. I won a token that gave me a frisbee but I gave that to my nephews like the great auntie I am.
I went on one of those pedal boats which almost killed me. I thought it was going to be really easy because the people on tv or in films make it look like a piece of cake but my knees were killing me.. Maybe it's just because I don't exercise enough.
At the grand old age of 19 I drove my very first Go-Kart. That was fun. I was racing against my brother and my dad so obviously I didn't win. I did beat my brother's girlfriend though, but I think that was only because she had my nephew in the Kart with her and he was telling her to slow down.
We went to their apartment after we had our dinner and sat there for a while before we headed home, we were there for about half an hour when suddenly about 10 ducks walked past the door. My nephews then decided to feed them a few biscuits and the rest of my brothers crumpets. He was not happy.
All in all it was a fantastic day out, and I can't wait to spend the summer going on more day trips because they are honestly my favourite thing.
